AC source power & DC source power manufacturing factory

How to distinguish DC charging pile from AC charging pile?

Charging pile is a charging facility for "refueling" electric vehicles. Its scientific name is "non-vehicle charger". Charging pile is divided into AC charging pile and DC charging pile. What is the difference between AC charging pile and DC charging pile?

The function of charging pile is similar to that of the tanker in the gas station. It can be fixed on the ground or wall, installed in public buildings (public buildings, shopping malls, public parking lots, etc.) and residential parking lot or charging station. It can charge various types of electric vehicles according to different voltage levels. The input end of the charging pile is directly connected with the AC network, and the output end is equipped with a charging plug for charging the electric vehicle.

At present, charging piles are divided into AC charging piles and DC charging piles. The output single-phase/three-phase alternating current of AC pile is converted into direct current through vehicle charger to charge vehicle-mounted batteries. The power of AC pile is generally small (7 kw, 22 kw, 40 kw, etc.). The charging speed is generally slow, so it is usually installed in parking lot and other places.

DC charging pile (or non-vehicle charger) is directly output direct current to charge vehicle-borne batteries. It has high power (60 kw, 120 kw, 200 kW or higher), and its charging speed is faster. Therefore, it is usually installed in charging stations beside expressways.

So how to judge whether a pile is a DC pile or an AC pile from its appearance?

Generally speaking, the DC charging pile is rough (because there are a certain number of AC-DC power supply modules inside, the higher the power, the more the number of modules, the larger the pile), and the AC charging pile is smaller. The more obvious difference is that its gun head (charging line) is different. The DC charging pile is a 9-wire plug, while the AC charging pile is a 7-wire plug.

The output of DC charging pile consists of nine wires: DC+, DC-, PE of equipment ground, S+, S-, CC1 and CC2 of charging connection confirmation line, A+, A-, of low-voltage auxiliary power supply line.

The output of AC charging pile consists of seven wires: AC power line L1, L2, L3; equipment ground line PE; midline N; connection confirmation line CC; control guide line CP.
